places. We feature local and regional
historians, authors, and experts in various
fields.
These events are usually free and all are
open to the general public.

Lunch & Learn
Lecture Series
Third Wednesday of each month from Noon
to 1:00 pm. Lectures take place at The
Resource Center, located at 1 N. Gilmer
Street, directly behind the Bartow History
Museum. Parking is located next to the
building.
August 18,
2010- David Archer, local
historian, will discuss the history of the 1869 Courthouse.
September
15,
2010- Don Kordecki,
Technical Director of the Grand Theatre, will discuss the
history of Cartersville's Grand Theatre.

Thursday
Evening Lecture Series
Last Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
Lectures take place at The Resource Center,
located at 1 N. Gilmer Street, directly

August 26,
2010- Don Wells, President
of Mountain Stewards, will discuss the
Mystery of the Trees, an Indian Trails
Project. He will give a power point
presentation with integrated video clips of
Native Americans discussing how their nation
used the trees and other trail markers.
September 30,
2010- Louise Staman, author
of Loosening Corsets, will discuss
Rebecca Latimer Felton. Book signing to
follow.
